About The Program
AFT is a collection of passionate skiers working together to maximize the joy and progression of Freestyle Skiing. AFT athletes are advanced to expert skiers seeking technical coaching in the aspects of slopestyle, halfpipe, and big mountain. AFT’s roots lie within a slow and steady progression building strong, well balanced skiers capable of skiing everything from terrain park to racing and traditional aerials and moguls. Athletes working towards inverted aerials, big spins, and technical rail skills will benefit from AFT’s experienced and qualified coaches.
Age and Ability: AFT does not have a clear cut age cut off line, but skiers are expected to ski anywhere on the mountain in any conditions with a positive attitude. AFT skiers are past basic instruction and are ready for technical coaching in the park and big mountain. AFT does not have supervised lunches and we are not a babysitting program. Athletes begin with local training and competing and work their way up to the traveling team.
2010/2011 Comps: Far West Freestyle Series, Gatorade Free Flow Tour, Rev Tour, Junior Big Mounstain Series, World Freeskiing Tour, Winter Park Open, Junior Nationals.
