ALPINE FREESTYLE TEAM

2010-11 Alpine Freestyle Team a.k.a. AFT

Alpine Freestyle Team’s mission is to be the most progressive ski team in Tahoe. Freestyle skiing has changed greatly in the last 10 years from ballet skiing and bumps to a “new school” discipline of terrain parks, halfpipe, rails and big mountain events. Our home mountains are Alpine Meadows and Boreal. This combination of mountains offers us a full season of well rounded training in all
aspects of slopestyle, halfpipe, and big mountain. Our season starts off early sliding rails and shooting video at Boreal. As soon as there’s more snow most of our time will be at Alpine Meadows skiing the entire mountain.

Alpine Freestyle team is geared for athletes with a solid foundation as an expert skier looking for technical coaching and a well balanced training schedule.  Our training is dependent upon weather, competition schedules, and prime snow conditions. AFT’s coaches specialize in choosing the most productive training scenario for the athletes day by day. We frequently shoot and review video to help the athletes improve as efficiently as possible. For elite skiers AFT offers an abundance of experiences and opportunities while maintaining a safe and positive environment. There are two training schedules to choose from, Weekends only and the Comp/Travel Team. For more information: freestyle@assoc.auburnskiclub.org
