2013 Western Regional Summer Biathlon Championships

Eligibility

Any member of USBA or Biathlon Canada in good standing may participate in this event if they

Have a valid USBA or Biathlon Canada Competitor membership card;
Be red book certified or equivalent;
Have their own biathlon rifle and ammunition.

Competitors must be prepared to show their membership card for the current year at the event registration. USBA forms are available at http://www.usbiathlon.org/forms/membership.pdf

The USBA competition is open to all biathletes 15 years of age or older on the day of the competition. Biathletes, younger than 15 years old, will need permission to compete, based upon ability to participate safely, from the Chief of Competition.

BBQ

A BBQ will be open to all participants and guests on Saturday after the 1pm awards ceremony. Please let us know ahead if you are bringing guests on your registration form.

Athletes who did not complete the qualifying Sprint competition will start as a wave start after the last pursuit competitor at a time determined by the Organizing committee

Chuck Lyda Memorial Race

The Chuck Lyda memorial race will be on the weekend of September 14-15. Details will be announced soon.

2013 Spring Biathlon(1) results

10^th Mountain Division Biathlon

The 10th Mountain Division Biathlon was a great event with our largest turnout ever. Everything went smoothly thanks to a great volunteer crew and many racers stepping up to help as well. The pro race was won by Phillip Violett and Britt Cogan. In second place was Sam Zabell and Raylene Chew. Check out the Far West website for complete results.
