A Far West membership is required for scoring/points towards the making the Junior National team when devo skiers become comp skiers, so it’s good to start thinking in that direction. With lots of activities, events and member benefits, it is a fun be a part of the Far West community. A big part of our training program is striving toward better fitness and becoming a better skier. Your goals and training should reflect that. Here is a helpful goal worksheet you should fill out and share with your coaches.
Junior National Championships:
A perennial goal of the Comp team is to qualify and attend the USSA Junior National Championships. Comp team members should familiarize themselves with the qualification standards in order to attend. http://farwestnordic.org/junior-programs/junior-nationals/
ASC program dues are directly subsidized by fundraising efforts. Participation and volunteering at our summer fundraising events is critical to keeping the cost of your program low.
